Hygiene & Periodontal Services

Regular dental exams and cleanings are crucial to maintaining oral health. Along with providing gentle cleanings, our expert dentists take x-rays and perform thorough oral cancer screenings. Additionally, we help patients develop home oral hygiene routines to maintain the health and beauty of their smiles for years.

Crowns

Crowns are tooth-shaped caps that protect damaged or weak teeth while improving the appearance of patients’ smiles. After filing down the enamel to reshape the tooth, our dentists will create a mold that is used to build the crown. Because they match the color and texture of natural teeth, crowns are a great way to restore tooth form and function.

Bridges

A popular solution for missing teeth, dental bridges are composed of two or more crowns surrounding a tooth gap. After preparing the abutment teeth, our dentists will take impressions of your mouth that will serve as a model in creating the bridge.

Made from gold, metal alloys, or porcelain, bridges restore patients’ smiles while improving their ability to speak and chew food. Additionally, bridges help maintain face shape and prevent the teeth that remain from drifting out of position.

Bonding & White Fillings

Bonding is an increasingly common method of smile improvement and is an effective treatment for tooth cracks, gaps, and stains. With bonding, the dentist applies a composite resin to the teeth over an adhesive gel. It is a safe and affordable solution for a variety of dental problems that can lasts 10 years or more.

Teeth Whitening

A lifetime of tea and coffee drinking can cause your teeth to look less than white. At Robert Rohmer DDS, Inc., we offer expert teeth whitening to restore your smile to its natural shade. After creating an impression of your teeth, we will design a custom tooth-whitening tray that you can utilize again and again. Most patients notice that teeth are 4-8 shades whiter after treatment.

Extractions

Impacted wisdom teeth can cause pain and affect the alignment of the patient’s smile.  We specialize in extracting wisdom teeth to reduce dental problems and help our patients maintain beautiful smiles.  Our practice’s oral surgery expert, Dr. Kiet Tran utilizes the most state-of-the-art extraction techniques to minimize discomfort and guarantee an excellent end result.

Veneers

Made from thin ceramic shells, veneers cover the entire tooth structure. As a result, this treatment is ideal for correcting a wide range of dental concerns including stains, cracks, chips, and even alignment problems and spaces between teeth. We take models of patients’ teeth and then send them to a state-of-the-art lab for fabrication. With proper care, your veneers last 10 years or more.

Dentures & Partial Dentures

Dentures are another option for tooth replacement that can be removed and reinserted as the patient pleases. We offer both partial and full dentures. Like bridges, partial dentures fill a gap between natural teeth. On the other hand, full dentures are used to replace a complete set of teeth. With conventional full dentures, dentists remove all the remaining teeth and allow the tissue to heal before placing dentures. Patients can also opt for immediate full dentures, which are placed right away. However, because the jawbone changes shape after teeth are removed, patients who choose immediate full dentures will likely need to visit the dentist again for refitting.

Dental Implants

Permanent solutions to lost teeth, dental implants restore both form and function to patients’ smiles. Many individuals prefer dental implants to bridges because implants don’t require alterations to the remaining teeth. Experts in implant dentistry, our team of dentists start by inserting a screw into the jawbone. Once the placement fuses, the dentist can apply the crown and suture the gums. Not only do implants improve oral appearance after tooth loss, but they also make eating and speaking easier.

Inlays & Overlays

Often called partial crowns, inlays and onlays fit over the existing tooth structure. Not only do inlays strengthen teeth, preventing cracks and breaks, but they also help restore form and beauty to patients’ smiles. In fact, most people will have no idea that they aren’t looking at your natural teeth.

Crown Lengthening

A procedure in which the gum is adjusted to expose more of the patient’s natural tooth, crown lengthening can do a great deal to improve a gummy smile. Additionally, the dentists utilize crown lengthening to reveal more of the tooth structure so they can restore damage.

Endodontics/Root Canals

The dental specialty that involves the nerves of teeth, endodontics is used to treat infected roots and prevent abscesses. The prospect of a root canal can cause patients a great deal of fear and panic. However, advances in dental technology have done a great deal to minimize discomfort and expedite healing.

Snoring Prevention Appliances

We offer the TAP snore prevention appliance, widely regarded as one of the most beneficial treatments for chronic snoring. Additionally, we are in the process of evaluating the new Aveo TSD snoring prevention appliance. Because some insurance companies will pay for sleep apnea appliances, patients may want to consider visiting a sleep lab for a PSG test prior to ordering.

Removable Braces

Unlike metal braces, clear aligners have no sharp edges so they are more comfortable. Clear aligners will not interfere with your daily routine. You can still eat, brush, and floss just like you normally would. Nobody can tell you're wearing them unless you tell them.
